Human psychopharmacology of drug abuse

Research in the Human Behavioral Pharmacology Laboratory focuses on the behavioral and neurobiological effects of drugs of abuse in humans.  Current projects include investigations of individual differences in responses to drugs, studies of the interactions between acute stress and responses to drugs, and studies of impulsive behavior and risk-taking, in relation to drug use.  The research is designed to identify risk factors for susceptibility to use and abuse drugs, and to study the basic behavioral and biological effects of drugs of abuse in humans
